  Baja California

The Baja California was a 260-foot long freighter carrying supplies during WWII. She was sunk by a German torpedo off the coast of Ft. Myers in 115 feet of water. She was outfitted with a 5" deck gun during her war efforts and this is the most interesting feature of the wreck. The only other intact portion of the wreck is the bow. She was carrying a load of general supplies for the war effort and a couple of military trucks.

All of these massive fish seemed pretty docile and let us get pretty close without displaying any aggression.

This is what the majority of the wreck site looks like. The hull plates lie strewn across the bottom.
