  Lancing

The Lancing was a 470-foot long whaling vessel sunk off the coast of North Carolina by the U-552. She sank upside down in 160 feet of water. Since the hull is turtled, the most interesting feature of this wreck is her massive propeller and rudder. The damage hole from the torpedo strike is still evident.
