3120 McKinney, Dallas, TX (214-953-1212) Tuesday, November 9, 2004.
Reception:
6pm. Lecture: 6:30 - 7:30pm. Mark Searcy. Founder of Art Prostitute, an
internationally
distributed art/design publication and gallery space.
His work is centered on photography and self-publications. He uses modified toy cameras to create a
visual narrative, as well as a scanner and other method of digital
manipulations. This resulting process documents a discovery in the
current
limitations in standard photography; the forgotten images that can be
taken
with now discarded camera technology, and the limitless possibilities
of the
digital age in re-mixing the old technology with the new.
