INTRODUCTION TO THE COPLEN FAMILY PAGES

For over twenty years I have been working on the family history and collecting family pictures. These pages contain some of the results of my efforts. If you have any information, pictures, copies of records or anything else, pertaining to any of these people, you want to share please e-mail me. I am always happy to get new information.

There are several people I would like to thank. They are the ones who have really made gigantic contributions to my research. They are:

My grandmother, Clara Christina Gross Righter, who gave me a civil war diary written by her grandfather and tons of old pictures, and started this passion for family history. I wish she was here to see all I have found.

M. L. Routson, who I wrote to for years. He was a great help in information and how to find things. M. L. passed away and now I am writting to his son, John, who is taking over where M. L. stopped.

Helen Kelso Burleson who is a wealth of information on the Burleson family. She is also the editor of Burleson Family Association's Bulletin which is the best I have ever seen. If you are researching the Burleson family and would like information on the Burleson Family Association, e-mail me and I will send it.

Norman Davis has been a big help with my Coplen line. Before Norman, I was beginning to think My great grandfather Coplen was hatched from an egg! Norman has also become a fun e-mail pal and a great cousin.
