The Online home of the Norwalk All City Youth Band

Hello and welcome to the online home of the Norwalk All City Youth Band, from Norwalk, California.

History

The Norwalk All City Youth Band was founded in 1975 to help the City of Norwalk in its bicentennial celebrations. The band was so well received by the community that the city decided to keep the band after all the bicentennial celebrations had ended. And by doing so began a great and rich musical tradition  here in the City of Norwalk, California.

Since then the band only had three main functions: First, we perform at most city functions. Such as little league openers, serving as the host band for the City of Norwalk's Annual Halloween Parade (we don't compete since we are the host band), and we our a ceremonial band for such events as Veterans Day and Memorial Day. Only to name a few things that we do for our great city.

Second, we are the City of Norwalk's official musical ambassador. The Band has traveled through out the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. In the last few years the band has performed in our Nation's Capitol, Washington, D.C. and in Busch Gardens in Virginia and most recently in Hawaii. When we are not traveling abroad we can be seen performing at Disneyland, Magic Mountain, for the Special Olympics, the L.A. County Fair, and for the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.  As you can see we get around a lot.

And Lastly, when we aren't traveling or playing in the City of Norwalk, we go out and compete in parades. The band has won over one hundred musical sweepstakes trophies since 1975, and we're still counting.

We rehearse at The Norwalk Arts & Sports Complex (NASC) is located at 13000 Clarkdale Avenue, in Norwalk, Ca near Norwalk Park.  We have the rehearsals in the Rich Rehearsal and Multi-Purpose Room.
