quietly howled through the forest
from thousands and thousands of miles away.
My
heart pounded, no longer there, for…
the
satisfaction of the freshly fallen leaves
soothed my pain and sorrow.
As
I stand there calm and content
my
voice starts to tremble.
I
cannot explain that peculiar moment.
My
brain stood still when I imagined my grief,
sorrow that I had no longer felt.
