Much has been written about the 11th house and it’s importance to everyday astrology. The 11th house correlates to the planet of Uranus and the zodiac sign of Aquarius. The water bearer of Aquarius carries the urn full of universal knowledge. This knowledge should be shared through networking and exchanging ideas with others.
This is the house that also rules friends. It is through friendships that we can relate to the world and each other. Planets and signs in the 11th house describe the kinds of friends to whom we gravitate and also suggests the way in which we make friends.
Sun in the 11th - suggests leadership ability in group activities.
Moon in the 11th - is very protective of friends; socially popular.
Mercury in the 11th - thoughts center on group and humanitarian interests.
Venus in the 11th - pleasure in group affiliations; loving friends; friendship could turn into romantic relationship.
Mars in the 11th - courageous in pursuit of goals; enthusiastic with group activities.
Jupiter in the 11th - attain objectives; gains from organizations; affluent friends.
Saturn in the 11th - determined in goals and objectives; steadfast in friendships.
Uranus in the 11th - intellectual approach to pursuing goals, brilliant and humanitarian friends.
Neptune in the 11th - compassion and sympathy for friends; idealistic goals.
Pluto in the 11th - wealthy or powerful friends; interests are geared to reforming traditional cultures.
The eleventh house is also concerned with making the world a better place to live and is connection with the future.
Things ruled by the 11th house are: hopes, wishes, career earnings, memberships, large organizations and aspirations.
Additionally, the occult sciences, inventions, reforms, new methods, aviation, electricity, revolutionary ideas and uranium all fall under this house as well.
Other things under the 11th house are your step-children, political activities, Astrology, and ties to the spirit world.
Parts of the anatomy that come under the 11th house are ankles, calves and the circulatory system. In relationship to the Tarot Cards, the 11th house resonates to the Star Card and the Fool. In numerology it resonates to the number four.
