The staff at Renton Park Elementary extends a warm welcome to each of you. We are proud of our program, students and staff. This year promises to be an exciting one as we get to know one another and continue working together to help our students prepare for the 21st century.
The staff members at Renton Park are dedicated to creating a positive, stimulating environment that provides for individual needs and differences. Our commitment to you is that every child will learn and be successful at Renton Park Elementary.
In the fall of 1995, we received full accreditation and completed a Self-Study which serves as a guideline for us for the next seven years. We are also making considerable progress in technology. Our staff members are also involved with training on integrated curriculum, assessment, mathematics, and other topics as part of our Student Learning Improvement Block Grant. Please take a few minutes to read more about these exciting opportunities on page [36] of this book [Student/Parent Handbook 1999-00].
The student/parent handbook contains important information. It is one way to give you information about the plans for Renton Park so that we will be better able to work as a team. It is important for parents, students, and staff to work closely together to make school a rewarding and successful experience for your child/children. Do take time to sit down together with your child/children and discuss the information in the booklet.
Renton Park is your school and we want you to feel a part of it. My door is always open, and I am willing to listen. I encourage you to express your views about the school and school programs. As I get to know your children this year, it is my goal to also know you as well. Feel free to contact me anytime.
