"bertemu" features songs previously available only on CD singles or Anime albums and some brand new songs as well. Personal favorites? Just about the entire album itself! Track 1, in particular, is an interesting song since the rhythm vaguely reminds me a bit of Madonna's song "Dress You Up." Track 4 ( the Ayanami version of the Evangelion OP theme ) is performed in a kind of Latin jazz-style that may startle those of us who have already grown used to the harder-edged version of the original OP theme. It took me about a minute of listening to this new version before I began to get used to the different rhythm and actually started liking it.My initial opinion of this album was that Enfleurage was slightly better overall but now that I've listened to it more, bertemu has definitely surpassed Enfleurage on my favorites list. Without a doubt this album is no slouch and is well worth the price for anyone looking to collect any of Hayashibara-san's albums.
