Creation
of unique apparatus for dedicated, single function tasks is Everett Engineering's
specialty. This self-propelled pipe carrier was designed for a new sewage outflow
tunnel to insert 10 ft dia concrete lined pipe, each section being 14 ft long and weighing 35 tons
each, up to 2000 ft inside an 11ft. diameter tunnel. Once located, this machine
joined them to previously placed sections. Smaller and longer units have been built and were provided by EEI for water distribution systems.

Shown here is a metal text writing controller for an automated wirefeed welding machine. This configuration was developed to label in welded metal text such metal items as manhole covers and construction equipment.
