MOSQUITO - 26' LOA x 8' Beam x 2'6" Draft ![]() This is a wonderful size boat. You can do something with a 26-footer. She's easy to handle, but big enough for two to sleep under the stars; big enough to smuggle a load of contraband or pack a load of supplies to that vacation cabin, to entertain clients, go fishing or crabbing. If you need cover, she's big enough to build a cabin. ![]() This is a sketch of a proposed cabin design by noted Naval Architect Lorne Garden. And if you doubt she's stable enough to handle a "house" of this size, take a look at the following photo. ![]() Most folks can stand on the gun'l and barely tip the boat! She's nimble and dry, even in "lumpy" seas, and can safely carry 10 or more adults. Great for tours and charters. ![]() If you were thinking of a 23' boat, why not have a 26' boat on the same 8' wide trailer. Notice that this "bare" hull easily rests on this single axle trailer. Note also the large aperture which accommodates up to a 23" dia. propeller and "monkey" rudder - allowing the hull to "back" in a straight line! ![]() We can also provide a fiberglass deck and coaming ( as seen above ) for those who wish an enclosed cockpit or a cabin. ![]() We wish everyone lived in a place where no protection from the elements was needed - but, unfortunately, that's not the case. So we have designed a durable, fiberglass canopy which goes nicely with the hull and deck lines. It will accept sidecurtains for those days when the wind is really blowing the rain, or keep in boiler warmth for a Winter excursion.
