CHECKLIST FOR THE ROUGH SCENARIO
Upon completion of your rough scenario, check your plan against the following list before revising your scenario.
- Is there a cause and effect relationship between events?
- Is there enough time for exiting characters to do what they have to do and then return for another entrance?
- Are all incidents sufficiently prepared for to appear plausible?
- Is there a surprising change that occurs at the end?
- Do your characters appear on stage long enough to establish identity?
- Do you have at least one character with a strong personality?
- Does your scenario have a beginning, middle, and an end?
- Beginning:
- Introduce characters
- Establish situation
- Create possible actions
- Raise a dramatic question
- Middle:
- Complications
- Obstacles
- Discoveries
- End:
- Climax
- Reversal
- Resolution
- Does your action plan represent an appropriate and complete thought?
