Unity of Time: The play must unfold as a continuous action without any lapses of time.

Unity of Place: The action must occur in a single location.

Unity of Action: The play must have a single unified action with a beginning, middle, and an end.

Characters: The play must have no less than three (3) characters and no more than six (6). No extras.

Since this first play is fundamentally a learning experience, these requirements are for the development of craftsmanship. Learn to write seamless action that handles character entrances and plot development in a cause and effect sequence that is probable and necessary. This accomplishment will lead to the skills needed for a longer work.
