This is a 38 page spiral bound new offering for the first timers. It tries to address the questions that beginners have when they first start with their dog. I supply information that the beginner from a city background does not know (being a beginner) to ask.

This is an attempt to supply the beginner information that other herding books assume people know. My experience is that they do not so; I have written the Herding Class Handbook Beginners Edition. It has many full sized, color, graphics and/or pictures on the same 8"x11" page of the written information. Each page is limited to the subject being discussed on that page. Each page is written to give the beginner enough information about that topic so they can get started with some kind of background about this sport of herding but not so much that they are become confused.

Where not to park, what equipment is needed, gate latches, balance, glossary of herding terms, homework assignments, and much more are discussed. Care was given not to make you a trainer but to supply you with information so that you can begin to handle the stock with your beginner dog.
