How can I make a drive copy?

Is there anything that will allow me to "mirror" one hard drive to another within my PC. I want to do this for easy back-up purposes. No, I do not want a back-up compression program, I would like the files mirrored as is, so that I can see them in a normal format. Also do not want the file names to become "DOS", want to keep them windows long names.

billngail....there are many programs out there now that can do this. Two that come to mind are; Ghost and DriveCopy (which I use).System Commander Deluxe I believe will also make mirror copies. Just browse the software section of any good software retailer and you will find a few.

Powerquest's Drive Image

Taking risks with your data is something you should never have to do. You know you need to take precautions to protect it - like performing regular backups - but doing so is often a time-consuming and frustrating process. And even if you're simply upgrading to a new hard drive, you can usually expect some inherent risks and hassles. Drive Image, from PowerQuest, solves those problems for you with a fast and complete way to copy your hard drive. Using Drive Image, you can easily create and store a compressible backup file of your entire hard drive, or just the partitions you specify, to the medium of your choice. The image file can then be downloaded from the source to completely restore your operating systems, applications, and data, or just to make upgrading to a larger hard drive fast and incredibly easy.
