Doing business on eBay

Here is the routine that I try to follow when doing business on eBay:

As a buyer, I often will email the seller within minutes of the end of auction, far earlier than eBay's notice and often, well ahead of contact from the seller. The sellers seem to like this because they know that I'm anxious to complete the deal. No worries waiting for the buyer (me) to answer their email. I try to follow through with prompt payment and advise the seller when payment has been mailed. I ask them to let me know when it arrives. Saves a bit on the nerves that way. I also let the seller know when the product arrives and leave feedback immediately. You get nice feedback that way.

As a seller on eBay, I contact the high bidder(s) promptly with payment instructions and a total (when possible). I ask them to respond with their address and any special delivery instructions so that I can prepare their package for delivery. I email them when their payment arrives and again when I ship their item(s). I'm prompt about leaving feedback for the buyer. When it's appropriate, I will follow up after the item was delivered.

If there is a problem, I write and ask: "I hope that you will work to get this transaction completed successfully. Please maintain contact with me until this business is finished." If necessary, I will request the other party's info and contact them by phone.
