Captain Charles A. Arman
Captain Arman was shot and killed November 1, 1927 when he investigated an armed robbery in progress at the Tippecanoe Loan and Trust bank. About $1000.00 was taken by the six armed robbery suspects. As Captain Arman entered the bank, he was shot three times and died at the scene of the shooting. The armed robbery suspects escaped in a car that bore Iowa license plates.
