Officer Carie and officer Hindman were responding to a local store in reference to 2 subject attempting to pass counterfeit money.
As the officers approached the subjects, Officer Carie was shot and killed. One of the subjects was then shot by officer Hindman.
The other subject ran to a vehicle and escaped.
