INDIANA POLICE OFFICER MEMORIAL


Officer Frank Denzinger

Officer Frank Denzinger, age 32 was shot and killed, and Officer Joel White was wounded after they responded to a domestic disturbance call in Georgetown, Indiana.

A 15-year-old suspect ambushed both officers with a high powered rifle as they arrived at the scene. Officer Denzinger was transported to University Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, where he succumbed to his wounds. Both officers were shot in the back as they spoke to the suspect's mother.

The suspect committed suicide in his home a short time later.

Officer Denzinger had served with the agency for 4 years. He is survived by his wife, 2-year-old daughter, parents, and two sisters.
