Kristy and Dave have been "making music together" for the past 22 years and as a duo for
the last sixteen. They met long ago, in a galaxy far away, when Kristy auditioned for a band Dave was in.
It only took the first few notes of "House of the Rising Sun" for Dave's group to realize
what an asset Kristy would be. Ever since then, she's been pleasing crowds
everywhere they go. Whether the request is a slow country standard, a big band classic,
or today's pop, her renditions are top notch.
For a few years, Dave played his keyboard or horns behind Kristy on the bandstands.
Before long, they were singing duets. Well, you know the story... He finally saw the
light. They realized they were meant to be together...forever!
They are now into their twentieth year of marriage. And so far, the only thing they don't do well together is hang
wallpaper.
Since becoming a duo act,
"JUKEBOX"
has made many wonderful friends throughout the
Seattle area, and beyond, with many faithful loyals who regularly come to hear them. Here are a few
comments from some of them:
"My name is Ralph. Since I've been listening to
"JUKEBOX"
I've found twice as many dance partners as before. Also, my dry, itchy
scalp has cleared up."
"I saw them at the Ozark Jubilee Theater in Arkansas. Boy Howdy,
were they ever something! Folks were just a-jumpin' up and down."
"My name is Fred. When our extended family meets each year up in the mountains,we've had
"Jukebox" join us and perform. They sound great outdoors. They even hosted a karaoke night and let me sing. Yes indeed, we
heard some strange noises in the woods that night."
"When they did their 50's Night, I won their Limbo contest and
Hoolahoop contest. Not only did they award me with fuzzy dice
for my efforts, they also came to see me the next day at the
hospital."
Variety is the thing most patrons say they enjoy most from
"JUKEBOX".
Their repertoire of over 700 songs
ranges from Big Band Standards to Fifties Golden Oldies to current Country and Rock Hits,
however their "Rap" is admittedly a little weak.
So, if you're in the Seattle area and wanting a fun weekend night out, check out
"JUKEBOX".
And remember, if you're not a club member, just tell them at the door, "I'm a guest of the band".
One final request... if you heard about
"JUKEBOX"
from this web page, be sure to let Dave know.
He's the one who plays the trombone.
