BISCUITS:
Ingredients:

  • 4 Cups plus 2 Tbsp.(454 gm) dp Wheat Starch (or Loprofin)

  • 8 Tbsp. Margarine

  • 1 Tbsp. Baking powder

  • 1 tsp. Baking soda

  • 2 oz Rich's Richwhip Non-Dairy Liquid

Directions:
  • Sift the baking powder and baking soda with the wheat starch.

  • Cut in the margarine.

  • Make a well in the center of the flour and add the Rich's non-dairy topping.

  • Fold together until you get a nice dough. Add water as needed if the dough does not come together.

  • Roll out and cut biscuits.

  • Place on an greased baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit until golden brown.

  • Makes 10 biscuits.

Chef's Tip:
2 To make a nice splitable biscuit,roll dough thinner and fold in half. Cut biscuits and bake as above. This recipe may be used for dumplings or as a topping for Shepherd's pie.
