Ki'i o Makapali
In his mid-forties, Scott has lived in Hawai'i all his adult life. Making sole-income from professional entertainment for over twenty years, his mid-life crisis resulted in a related yet different vane. For the past six years he has focused interest in portrait photography of people and historic locations.
'With darkroom on the slopes of Hualalai near Holualoa on the 'Big Island' of Hawai'i, all aspects of my photography are 'little red hen'- all aspects done by hand.' Except for images in 'Alemanaka Hawai 'i Maoli - The Hawaiian Historic Calendar and self-published notecards, my photographs are available only as numbered 5"x7", 8"x 10" and 11"x 14" photographs.'
