There is a small inlet cove about two miles north of Kawaihae called Kawahinewaioli. The ka'ao says:
An independant woman lived there.
She could feed herself but there was nothing to drink, to refresh her.
When dry she would go to the point and call to her beloved to bring her water
Calmly she waits with anxious thoughts
