Authentic Polish Cuisine

As many Portlanders already know (thanks to the wonderful article in Oregonian written by John Foyston on July 26th) 14,000 pierogis, which have been made this summer, are waiting for the festival guest.

Do you like beets with horseradish?

Beets with horseradish is the most 'controversial' dish on the festival menu. It is served at Polish dinners as a salad. Every year we receive a lot of comments about this dish. People either love it or hate it. Last year's festival questionnaire revealed that 11 people thought that it was the best dish on the menu, with such comments as "the beets salad was a real delicacy". We also received 6 unfavorable comments. Most of the festival volunteers side with the "lovers" of horseradish salad. You decide for yourself.

The food at the festival will be served in the following areas: Parish Hall, Polish Hall, Footcourt (on the street between the buildings) and the Beergarden.
