Michael Jarzabkowski & Associates (also conducting business as Sound Scene Acoustics Pty. Ltd.) is an independent engineering consulting company specializing in architectural acoustics, noise control, and audio-visual system design. Michael Jarzabkowski registered Sound Scene Acoustics Pty. Ltd. in 1990 to undertake international projects that require specialized engineering and design in architectural acoustics, noise and vibration control, audio-visual systems, stage lighting, and stage rigging. So far we have undertaken major projects in more than 10 countries. |

| Objectives and Brief |
Our objective is to provide functional, 'up-to-date' design and consulting
technology for the digital era with cost-effective design measures that will
meet specific pre-agreed criteria. We want to provide our clients with close contact
and include their active participation in all aspects of the design process.
We believe that acoustics is both an engineering science and an art form. A
science to the extent that results should be predictable from vigorous
computation and detailed investigation, and an art form because the skill comes from
experience and the development of reliable intuition regarding one of the most
complex natural sciences known to modern physics. |
| Design and Consulting Services |
We are an experienced team of professionals and with our complete Computer Aided Design and Drafting facilities we are able to provide you with detailed architectural and engineering drawings along with documented specifications.
We can provide bidding documentation should you wish to obtain competitive quotes from contractors to undertake construction, equipment procurement, material supply, and installation for the project. We also provide detailed architectural and engineering drawings and specifications directly to architectural firms and mechanical and electrical engineers who may require our services for projects being handled by a local design team. Our services can become a part of your consulting package or a designated sub-contract of your services. |

We are best known for our expertise in high-level projects where acoustics and noise control are the primary controlling factors. This includes experience in design and consulting for concert halls, auditoriums, theaters, churches, broadcast and recording facilities for radio and television, studios and control rooms for music recording, and film and video production stages. We have also designed anechoic test chambers and other acoustic testing facilities.
Alongside more specialized projects, we have also consulted for a wide range of general acoustics and noise control projects including educational facilities, multi-family dwellings, music schools, classrooms, restaurants, offices, corporate conference rooms, and industrial noise control. Our project references show a high level of competence in architectural acoustics, noise control, and audio-visual systems design with many of our Clients engaging us for each new phase as they expand their facilities. |

We have a comprehensive range of up-to-date test and measurement equipment for determining the acoustic parameters of existing and newly completed facilities. This, coupled with our continually developing in-house acoustic design software and project experience has given us the ability to accurately predict the outcome of new facilities we design.
All aspects of our design work: drawings, specifications, and documentation, are in computerized format for consistency and record purposes. This gives us the ability to easily transfer data between our offices. Our clients also benefit because apart from receiving the design information and documentation on paper, they can request it as standard computer files for further manipulation, presentation, or archiving. |

Due to the scope of our operations, we have staff and associates located in the USA and in South East Asia. Michael Jarzabkowski is the managing director and oversees the design of all projects. He is located in Maryland, USA.
James Yee is the director based in Malaysia who coordinates operations in Asia. With our staff and associates coming from diverse cultural backgrounds, we are able--on request--to provide communication in English, Malay/Indonesian, Cantonese, and Mandarin. |
