Welcome to our web-page! Branch 4149 represents over 300 city letter carriers in 9 cities in the Coachella Valley and high desert, which includes world famous Palm Springs and the Joshua Tree National Park.
Branch 4149 hosted the California State Association of Letter Carriers state convention in 1992 and will be co-hosting the 2004 state convention with the other branches in District 10.
Visitors to our desert communities enjoy year-round sunshine and warmth, including golf all winter with snowy alpine mountains less than 30 minutes away on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway.
Visitors to the high desert enjoy cooler temperatures and crystal clear views of the heavens, far from city lights. The landscape of the Joshua Tree National Park is an other-worldly vision of rocky formations that have been featured in many movies.
Our desert communities host tens of thousands of snowbirds from eastern and northern states and Canada during the winter months, and are popular with European tourists during the summer months. Our valley also hosts Riverside County's annual Date Festival every February.
And the southern Coachella Valley is home to some of the most productive agriculture in the world.
Welcome to our world!
