CHECKLISTS
(ABSTREICHLISTEN)
There are many different names for these in German –
Sammel-Liste, Sammel-Tacshe, Sammel-Karte, Prüfkarte, Abstreichkarte, etc. Each
of these pocket-sized checklists contains a list of card numbers and a
collector would cross out each number when collecting the cards. The checklists
might also contain information about the card series, the brand name of the
cigarette, the manufacturer, information on how to order single cards and
albums, and sometimes included a sample card. Some have pockets to hold several
cards. Listed below is the series name, cigarette brand (if known),
manufacturer, used or unused, and the condition of the checklist. “Used” means
that some or all of the numbers have been marked through.

Portuguese language, album measures 9x9½-inches, 48 pages, card covers,

TERMS & CONDITIONS
Cigarette
Card is
a generic term. Makers of coffee, tea, pudding, glycerin, margarine, chocolate,
newspapers, etc. also issued collecting cards.
Card
sizes are approximate and are
grouped as follows - small:2x2-inches or smaller; medium:2x3-inches to
3x5-inches; large:5x7-inches. Album sizes are also approximate.
Grading of each album is determined by a combination of
the overall condition of the cover and the contents. For example, if the cover
of an album shows a little wear, but the contents are in excellent to mint
condition, the grading will be 1 or 1-. Major defects are noted. A plus (+) or
a minus (-) will help to better define the condition. 1 = excellent condition, very little wear; 2 = good condition, average use and wear; 3 = fair condition, much wear; 4
= poor condition, pretty bad shape, space filler. Loose cards have not
previously been mounted in albums unless stated.
Shipping
- Prices do not include shipping
and handling charges. For card sets add $3.00. Albums will normally be shipped
via USPS Media Mail. Generally add $5.00 for the first album and $2.50 for each
additional. All albums are sent fully insured. Rates for shipping outside of
the U.S. will be quoted.
