Okay folks looks like USL will not be in Sacramento for at least the 2000 season. There are rumours that Sacramento may get a team at some point as part of the Mens Premier Soccer League

For fans of soccer in Sacramento, The Women's Premier Soccer League also has an entry here in town, The California Storm. They play their home games at Davis High SChool.

Breaking news: L.A. Galaxy and U.S. left back Greg Vanney has joined the French side SC Bastia on loan for an unknown amount of time. Full story on internetsoccer.com. Greg was selected as an alternate for the US National roster for the 2002 World Cup.
Ante Razov, on the roster of Chicago Fire after a short stint with second division side Racing de Ferrol of Spain. Ante has also been selected as an alternate for the US National roster for the 2002 World Cup.
John Jones is currently played 2002 on the Chaleston Battery and spent 2000-2001 with the A-League Pittsburg Riverhounds.
Guillermo Jara was with the A-League San Diego Flash. ??
Ex-Scorpions Antonio Sutton, Brandon Cavitt and Jeremy Field were playing with the 2001 WISL Sacramento Knights. With the Knights going into inactive status for 2002 these players have been selected by various teams in the MISL Dispersal draft.
Former Scorpion Stephen Keshi was the Assistant Coach for the Nigerian National Team currently participating in the African Nations Cup. After a rough run for Nigeria in this years 2002 African Nations Cup, coach Shaibu Amodu and his staff including Stephen were sacked. Good luck Stephen in the future.
Former Scorpion Augustine Eguavoen was in France on the Nigerian National Team at World Cup 98.
Scott Hileman is currently Goalie for the MISL Baltimore Blast and recently was on the US National Futsal Team.
Former Scorpion Defender Eric Descombes is now a player/coach for the A-League Indiana Blast
