The Unofficial Sacramento Scorpions / Sacramento Geckos /
Team Sacramento / NorCal Info Page

Okay folks looks like USL will not be in Sacramento for at least the
2000 season. Read the USL
Press Release on the schedule.
Previous news on the deal that eventually fell through. Latest word is Team Sacramento will be known in the 2000 season as NorCal. They will be playing at a new facility. Best news of all is the CrapShootout is DEAD!!!
From the USL Release USLís
Annual Meetings Produce "Traditional" Results.
"In the Western Conference, as it pertains to the yet unnamed franchise
which operated as Team Sacramento during the second half of last season,
an agreement is imminent that will have the team transferred to solid ownership
and management hands operating in a brand-new, multi-use facility in a
suburb of Sacramento. The team will compete under the name NorCal, with
its nickname yet to be determined."
Okay...here we go again. "Team Sacramento" has changed hands.
