U S S COLE (DDG67)
Damage Photos

Who* was standing watch on the deck the day the suicide mission of the terrorists killed seventeen sailors injured 39 other personnel in the blast and caused millions of dollars in damage? The small local boat that was now approaching had in the recent past helped guide the U.S. ships into the channel or dock area. It was currently unauthorized and getting too close without identifying itself or intentions. Before the impact and explosion the suicide bomber was standing at full attention on deck prepared to be martyred. Why weren't machine gun rounds fired across it's bow as a warning or even sidearm fire used to get their attention - before it was too late?

The U.S. NAVY must exercise vigilance and defend itself and "terminate with extreme prejudice" these DEADLY SUICIDE ATTACKS before there is loss of life or equipment!

* "A sailor who was on watch aboard the Cole, for example, told CBS News' "60 Minutes" on Sunday that he noticed the small boat approaching but assumed it was among the authorized harbor craft that normally approach a Navy ship in port to assist in disposing of its garbage and performing other routine services."
