Resources

Using the Resources, find out the answers to the following questions and write them on your worksheet.  You may not be able to answer ALL the questions for your composer, but include as many important facts as you can.  Add any additional interesting facts you find.  Using that information you will write a biographical paragraph or two about your composer's adult life.

1)  How old were they when their first piece was publicly performed?
2)  When did they leave home?
3)  What was their first job?
4)  Did they get married?  to whom?  when?
5)  Where did they work?  for how long?  who paid for them to write music?
(i.e.:  A royal court, for a church, for themselves, for wealthy people)
6)  Did they travel to other countries?  where?
7)  When did they die?  Where?  At what age?  How?
8)  What was their personality like?  Did they have any interesting traits or characteristics?
       Were they well liked?
9)  Were they involved in other things besides music?

After you have written and edited your paper (see Assignment) you may create your web page.

Your web page should include the following:

  • A title
  • The final copy of your biographical information
  • At least one graphic depicting the adult life of your composers such as maps of the places he worked, a portrait, photographs of important places, etc.  If you are not sure of a graphic, ask.
  • Type links to the other pages of your groups projects.  (Title page, Childhood and Musical Works)
  • Save your page as *****adult.htm
