Using the Resources, find out the answers to the following questions and write them on your worksheet.  You may not be able to answer ALL the questions for your composer's most well known musical works, but include as many important facts as you can.  Add any additional interesting facts you find.  Using that information you will write a descriptive paragraph or two about your composer's most well know works.

1)  What kinds of music did they write?  (piano, symphonies, concertos, operas, songs)
2)  What period in music history are they a part of?
(i.e. Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionistic)
3)  What are some of their most well known pieces?
4)  Some pieces have stories behind them or nicknames because of why they were written or for whom.
     Can you find any?
5)  Does one of their well known pieces tells a story? Tell the story of one popular piece if you can.
6)  Which pieces, if any, were written to portray a scene or paint a picture in the listener's mind?
7)  What other composers, if any, did they study or work with?

After you have written and edited your paper (see Assignment) you may create your web page.

Your web page should include the following:

  • A title
  • The final copy of your information
  • At least one audio clip of a significant piece by your composer.  You may also include graphic illustrations, such as photos of their original works or scanned pictures of you own illustrations of one of their significant works.
  • Links to the other pages of your groups projects.  (Title page, Childhood and Adult life)
  • Save your page as *****works with the *'s being the first 5 letter of your composer last name.
