[The move to Murray, Utah]
I had a lot of friends in that. A lot of them thought it was awfully funny of me to move. They said, "Oh, don't move." But, I had that big place to keep up and then after those kids broke in. The police found out it was young men - kids - in the ward. Broke in and they banged things around and they even left the refrigerator open and took food out of that. But, the funny thing was, they didn't take the money that was laying on my - I was getting some bills together. I wasn't an awful lot, but there was ten or fifteen dollars in cash. They didn't take that. Now, I guess they knew better than to take money. Anyhow. they did it. But, you see. they had lighted matches all through the house. They hadn't put the lights on. Now, that made me sick because I knew where they came from. I thought I just cannot live in the house any longer. I guess that's what made me decide ...
I put money down on - I wanted to come out this way because this is the way we always brought grandma. I loved it out this way. I just felt that this is where we should come. Now, I looked at three different condominiums. This one was brand new, in fact, this was not built. But when I saw that I just knew that that was it and I put money down on it. I even got the other five-hundred dollars back. They never built it, so they gave me the money back. So, I didn't loose a penny on it and I had money enough to get into here. Isn't that fortunate now? I didn't get what it was worth [Blaine Avenue], but I got about all you could get at that time because it really was a very nice little house.
A middle-aged couple bought it. Both of them work. But, they loved it. You know, I've never been by it since. I don't want to get any longing in my heart or anything like that. I'd rather just stay happy with what I -e got. But, you see, there was just Pam. We didn't need that big house and I didn't need all that work. Although Alvin helped, I did a lot of the work. He did all of the fixing, you know. I can't fix anything. Alvin always fixed everything. He was so good. He could fix anything. I was very dumb about it because I never did it.
