About
These Songs Of California’s History and Landmarks
Having had a long interest in California's history, in 1993 I began the attempt to go to each of it’s
over 1100 state landmarks, take a look, some notes, a photo or two, and record GPS coordinates. From Del Norte County in the North to Imperial County in the South, I’ve been to over 700 so
far.
As a singer/songwriter, and with detailed research of the fascinating stories within these landmarks
so easily passed by, it has been a rewarding challenge to to bring them to life through music. After a lifetime
of playing folk and traditional music and its instruments, this is a very exciting and creative time for me with these songs
that I hope will be considered both entertaining and informative.
