Big XXII Fantasy League Rules

Team Rosters:
At the close of the draft rosters must contain:
2 QBs
3 RBs
4 TE/WR
1 Team defenses
1 kicker
1 other player (an extra player at whichever position you choose)
12 total players

Once the season begins, you can alter your roster as much as you like with trades and free-agent signings, but do remember bye weeks. No more than 12 players may be maintained on roster
Owners will draw for draft positions, and the positions will be reversed every other round (ie if you pick first in the first round, you'll pick 12th in the second round (assuming 12 teams)).

For each week's game you will choose:
1 QB
2 RBs
3 Recievers
1 Team defense
1 Kicker

***Lineups must be submitted by Saturday morning 10am texas time unless Big12 teams are playing earlier in week. Failure to do so means that the previous week's line up will be used.***

Points will be scored in the following ways:
QBs:
1 point for each 100 yards of passing yardage
6 points for each TD scored
6 points for each TD pass thrown
2 points for each 2-point conversion rushed for or thrown
2 points for QB rushing for every 50 yds

RBs:
2 points for each 25 yards of rushing
6 points for each TD scored (either rushing or receiving)
2 points for each 25 receiving yards
2 points for each 2-point conversion rushed for, thrown or caught

WR/TEs:
1 point for each 10 yards of receiving
6 points for each TD scored (either rushing or receiving)
2 points for each 2-point conversion rushed for, thrown or caught
1 points for each 10 yards of rushing

Kickers:
6 points for any field goal longer than 45 yards
3 points for any field goal shorter than 45 yards
1 point for each extra point kicked

Team Defenses:
6 points for any TD off of a fumble or interception
6 points for any kick return TD (returns are not an individual stat!)
2 points for any safety recorded
 2 points for every interception
 10 points for a shutout
3 points for holding opponent to 2 or 3 points

Tie Breaker
In the case of a tie in head to head matchup points, team with most DEFENSIVE points wins.  If still a tie, team with most points by KICKER wins.  If still at tie, team with most points by 3 starting RECEIVERS wins.  If still a tie, team with most points by 2 starting RUNNING BACKS wins.

Notes:  Kick returns are not an individual stat!  If I have David Allen at WR and he returns a kick for a TD, that is 6 KSU defense points, and no points for Allen individually.  Also note that a shutout is worth three points, not four (3 plus 1 for a TD shutout).  You can't get credit for both of those.

Costs:
$50 entrance fee
$10 per every loss during regular season (9 games)
(So maximum cost for an owner to lose all games would be $50 + $90 = $140

$$Prize Money$$
This makes total pot (16*$50) + (9*8*$10) = $1520
Regular season Divisional champions                  $200 each
Regular season Divisional Runner-Ups                 $100 each

    Final Runner Up                                  $200
    Final Champion                                   $700

Any disputes will be resolved by commissioner and co-commissioner with attempts to get unanimous buy in from all owners.

FREE AGENT

A free agent is a player not presently on any owner’s roster.  He generally becomes sought after based on demonstrated  performance of the previous week(s). Any owner may request and obtain a free agent by sending an e-mail addressed to:  kfoerster@austin.rr.com.  The e-mail subject should be FREE AGENT.
EACH OWNER MAY REQUEST TWO TRANSACTIONS PER WEEK.  START BY LISTING THE PLAYER YOU WANT TO DROP. THEN LIST THE PLAYER YOU WISH TO ADD IN ORDER OF PRIORITY (LIST AS MANY "ADD" PLAYERS AS YOU LIKE).   YOU NEED TO LIST ADD OPTIONS IN CASE THE PLAYER YOU WISH TO ADD HAS BEEN TAKEN BY ANOTHER OWNER.  KEEP IN MIND, THERE ARE SEVERAL OWNERS COMPETING FOR THE SAME FEW PLAYERS SO YOU SHOULD ERR ON THE SIDE OF LISTING MANY ADD PLAYERS IF THERE IS A PLAYER ON YOUR TEAM YOU REALLY WANT TO DROP.

THEN LIST THE SECOND PLAYER YOU WOULD LIKE TO DROP AND THE CORRESPONDING PRIORITY LIST OF PLAYERS TO ADD. THE FORMAT FOR EACH TRANSACTION SHOULD BE:

First Transaction  Request
DROP Player, position, school

ADD 1) Player, position, school
2) Player, position, school
3) Player, position, school

Second Transaction Request
DROP Player, position, school

ADD 1) Player, position, school
2) Player, position, school
3) Player, position, school

IF ALL OF THE PLAYERS YOU LISTED UNDER ADD HAVE BEEN TAKEN BY OTHER OWNERS, THE PLAYER YOU REQUESTED TO DROP WILL BE KEPT ON YOUR ROSTER.

If more than one owner pursues the same free agent under the same priority, the following precedence will be employed in determining which owner gets the free agent. (1) the owner with the worst won-lost record. (2) if won-lost records are the same, the owner with the least FOR points. (3) heaven forbid, but . . . . if records are the same, and FOR points are the same, then the owner with the most AGAINST points would prevail.  (NOTE: An owner requesting two free agents and having been awarded his first priority free agent will not be awarded his second priority free agent if that free agent has also been requested by another owner, regardless of the precedence.)

The ABSOLUTE deadline for my receipt of your "Request for Free Agent" e-mails is 12:00 noon on each Wednesday. For fairness to everyone, no requests received after 12:00 noon on Wednesday will be accepted.  I will process the requests each Wednesday afternoon and provide the final transactions to Tim.  He will, in turn, update the rosters before your deadline for submitting your weekly starting line-ups.

I too may from time to time pursue a free agent.  But, for the sake of fairness, the procedure I use will differ from yours. I too will submit my "Request for Free Agent" e-mail.  But - unlike you - I will send my e-mail to all owners in the North Division (my division).  AND, my e-mail will be sent PRIOR to my opening any free agent e-mail from any owner.

The earliest request for Free Agents  will be the week of 5 September - the week following the first week-end of play. Deadline for requests is 12:00 noon Wednesday , September 8. There will be no Free Agent transactions allowed after BTFFL week 9, which is the end of the regular season.
