Hilda Goodbody was born in Arkham, Mass. and studied nursing at U-Mass at Amherst.  During her studies she learned a little Latin and Greek, as well as anatomy and martial arts.  After working for several years at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in NYC, she was hired by Mrs. Maude Derringer Daniels as a full-time nurse.  She is a strong-willed and sane person, giving little credence to the supernatural.  She keeps a diary of what she hears (on and off the job) and is considering writing up her notes as a fictional account.
