Lya Brighter

Lya Brighter is a 27 year old reporter for the Boston-based magazine Enigma.  She was raised in upstate NY, youngest of 3 children of a
medical doctor. She went to Boston for "finishing" school.  Her brother Nicholas had come to Boston a few years earlier, and was able to show her the ropes of this metropolis.  It was through him that she was introduced to the publisher of Enigma, and subsequently found
employment there.  Lya has had a lifelong interest in the occult, especially ghost stories.  She found she enjoyed both eliciting stories out of people she met and writing them down.  She's always been the curious sort, and had investigated several "haunted" houses in the area
while she was still in her teens.  She's a bit of a tomboy, having shared Nick's interest in baseball.
