Spring - The Hag of the Shunned Caverns begins her attack against the Keep on the Borderlands prematurely. Iuz is unable to offer effective assistance. A party of brave adventurers led by the paladin Severian and the cleric Dimas defeat the Hag and prevent the goblin tribes from uniting against the Archclericy.

Winter - The paladin Sir Leuhr leads a tentative probe of the Moathouse near Hommlet. It is learned that significant activity has resumed at Nulb. Mercenaries are being recruited.
Spring - Severian, Dimas, Teal Sonya, and many others defeat the Demon of Fire and free the western Archclericy from Iuz's shadow. Imix is banished from the Forgotten Realms and the Anubi people freed from the Torcs of Fire. Unfortunately, three adventurers and Primax are captured by Demon of Fire and imprisoned in the Elemental Nodes. Teal Sonya recovers the Silver Lance of High Horn. Giselin reestablishes a dwarven colony at High Horn. By invitation of the Pharaoh, Grymaldus travels to the Anubi city of Dandaran to study Anubi magic. Dimas founds the Order of Staff and Lance in Arabel.
July - Vangerdahast sends emissaries to Zhentil Keep and Sembia to ascertain their attitude in the event of war between Suzail and Arabel. Sembia promises "benevolent neutrality" while Zhentil Keep promises to provide Zhentarim assistance, if Tilverton is ceded after the war. Vangerdahast rejects Zhentil Keep's offer.
August - An uncoordinated attack by goblin tribes against the Keep on the Borderlands is defeated by Talvela and Dimas. The Stonelands are pacified.
Aug-Nov - A party of adventurers led by Teal Sonya and the cleric Calmert assault the Temple of Elemental Evil. The four captives (Claud, Primax, Kirchen, and Hawk) are rescued. The Orb of Golden Death is destroyed, collapsing the Temple and banishing Zuggtmoy.
September 6 An attempted assassination of King Azoun IV is foiled. Priests of Cuthbert are accused (falsely) of being the culprits. Royal Cormyr mobilizes. (The assassination attempt was staged by Iuzish agents. The Second Cormyrean War had been planned for more than a decade by Vangerdahast.)
September 10 - Death of Archcleric Vidicar.
September 24 - A conclave of bishops meets in Arabel to elect a new Archcleric. There are two candidates: the Bishop of Espar (Kasimir Kugelrohr, nephew of Vidicar), and the Bishop of the Moonsea (Theca, one of the liberators of Phlan). Kasimir attempts to bribe the Bishops but is foiled when Dimas suggests that both candidates demonstrate their spell-casting abilities. Thecla Communes with St. Cuthbert while Kasimir heals a nosebleed. Thecla is elected. Kasimir refuses to accept the result and goes into exile in Royal Cormyr.
October 21 - Cormyr crosses the border and captures Hilp and Wheloon. Clergy of St. Cuthbert in the occupied cities are arrested and sent to Suzail.
October 24 - Thecla mobilizes the Archclericy and proclaims the Second Crusade against Iuz.
October 31 - Cormyrean forces cross the border into Sembia and occupy Hommlet to seal the border with Sembia and defend the Temple of Elemental Evil. The merchant-princes who rule Sembia (bribed by Cormyr) ignore the incursion into their territory. Jagger, Kirchen, and Zazel flee to Arabel.
November 8 - Temple of Elemental Evil is destroyed.
November 10 A raid on Hommlet frees Burne, Imelda, and Selene from the besieged Keep. Burne declares neutrality and travels to Selgaunt, while everyone else goes to Arabel.
November 18 - Vangerdahast seeks new allies to replace those lost in the destruction of the Temple of Elemental Evil. He sends emissaries to the giants in Thunder Peak and the Desertmouth Mountains. He attempts to form an alliance with Zhentil Keep but is rebuffed.
December 1 The first snowfall. Troops settle into winter quarters.
December 5 - Ashlar begins a four-part lecture series in Arabel on the Temple of Elemental Evil, mobilizing popular support for Archclericy.
December 12 - Archcleric Thecla reorganizes the Church. Claud becomes Bishop of Tilverton, Icasus becomes Bishop of the Borderlands, and Dimas becomes Bishop of Arabel. For failure to provide timely support, Canon Terjon is demoted and transferred to a village in the Hullack Forest. He is replaced by Calmert as Canon of Hommlet. Severian becomes military commander of Arabellan forces. Sir Leuhr becomes Castellan of Borderlands Keep. Talvela becomes Ranger-Lord of the Realm.

January 12 - Giselin leads 200 dwarven fighters to Arabel to join garrison.
January 16 The Cormyrean garrison in Hommlet begins excavations at the site of the Temple of Elemental Evil.
February 4 - Jagger entertains at the World Serpent Inn in Arabel and visits Mechanus, etc.
February 8 - Freiherr von Bek of Phlan arrives in Arabel with a Freikorps of 300 experienced fighters. Phlan is under the rule of Bishop Braccio in his absence.
February 17 - Madame Future-Past arrives in Arabel. A flying cloud-castle (Prism Keep) bombards Arabel in the name of King Azoun.
February 18 - A party led by Severian pursues Prism Keep.
February 24 - Severian and party (Elessar, Qaryllian, Wenzel, Dimas, and others) liberate Prism Keep and free many prisoners. Severian and party (including Kendal Trollbane and Keldavan) return to Arabel.
February 27 - Teal, Kendal, and others travel to the Moonshaes to fight Bane and the Dark Druids.
March 5 - Ashlar, Brighella, and Montrose travel to Sembia on a lecture tour.
March 14 - Selene is summoned to Moonshaes. There she befriends a wolf cub, Notomo.
March 15 - Raven and Krier intercept a courier from Vangerdahast to the giants. He proposes that the Hill giants attack Tilverton, Frost giants attack Thunder Keep, and Fire giants attack Borderlands Keep.
March 16 - Elessar returns to Arch Wood to warn Lord Balar of the planned attack by frost giants against Thunder Keep and Highmoon.
March 17-28 Teal, Selene, Galen, Calmert, and others defeat the Dark Druid in the Moonshaes. Calmert, Imelda, and Galen are summoned back to Arabel. Krier and Raven lead a punitive expedition against the Steading of the Hill Giants east of Tilverton. They are accompanied by Calmert, Imelda, Anolis, Kendall, Keldavan, Taz, Galen, Wheat, and others. Cormyrean backing of the Hill giants is revealed. The Pro-Cormyrean hill giant shaman is slain (Calmert uses Holy Word from scroll). The Hill giant chieftain pledges neutrality.
March 20 - Ashlar's lectures in Saerloon arouse indignation against Cormyrean actions in Hommlet. The merchant-princes are forced to take action. An ultimatum presented to Cormyr demanding immediate withdrawal from Hommlet.
March 27 - Cormyr backs down and withdraws from Hommlet. Heavy loot from Temple ruins is abandoned. Sembia reaffirms its neutrality and sends a mercenary unit to garrison Hommlet.
April 2 - Teal and Selene return to Arabel from the Moonshaes.
April 3 - Charon is elevated to high office in the Church of Torm.
April 4 - Raven and others travel to Westgate on a secret mission to assist the High Battlelord of Tempus in taking control of the city from Cormyr.
April 10 The Archcleric urges all noncombatants to leave Arabel.
April 12 - Zazel and Alilla depart Arabel for Shadowdale.
April 17 - Ashlar, Brighella, Ultan, and Montrose travel from Selgaunt to Bard Keep to recover lost books.
April 21 The priests of Tempus lead an uprising in Westgate. Cormyrean forces are diverted and drawn into vicious street fighting.
April 27 - Ashlar and others are successful at Bard Keep. Grymaldus returns to Arabel, thence to the Anubi city to mobilize forces. Ashlar and others return to Arabel.
May 8 - With 3-1 numerical superiority, Cormyrean forces attack north from Hilp toward Arabel. Rangers protect retreating Arabellan forces. Kasimir is proclaimed Archcleric by King Azoun and takes up residence in Hilp. Terjon joins him.
May 10 - Immersea occupied.
May 12 - Teal leads a party to clear away all structures within 500 yards of the city walls. At the Night Wolf Inn, they discover a hidden shrine to Cyric, maintained by the innkeeper (a priest of Cyric), since this is the place where Cyric was born. They defeat the priest and demolish the inn.
May 13 - The Cormyrean advance guard arrives at the city.
May 14 After a parley between Severian and the Lord High Marshal of Cormyr, the Siege of Arabel begins. Severian, Charon, Anolis, Teal, Imelda, Calmert, Hawk, Wheat, Hilda Highborn, Lucky Lucy Cleandealer, and many others defend the city. Throughout the siege, rangers (Raven, Selene, and Marissa) harass Cormyrean supply trains. Taz takes out an insurance policy with the Temple of Tymora.
May 17 - Cormyrean forces attempt to storm the city. The assault is spearheaded by Earth Elementals. Both sides take heavy losses but the assault repelled.
May 18 - Priests of Mask lead an uprising in Proskur. The Cormyrean garrison is assassinated in a single night. Azoun cuts his losses and recognizes Proskuran independence rather than divert troops from the siege.
May 24 - Cormyrean forces attempt to occupy Eveningstar but are ambushed and defeated by rangers.
May 27 - Gondish siege artillery is deployed around Arabel.
May 29 A nighttime sortie of rogues led by Brighella, Wenzel and Alenzur destroy Cormyrean siege artillery and capture priests of Gond.
May 30 Cormyr mounts a second assault on Arabel, supported by a black dracolich. the dracolich is destroyed by Trismegistos and Qaryllian. The assault repulsed with heavy losses on both sides. The Cormyrean forces dig in and prepare for a lengthy siege.
June 6 The Battle of the Tunnels. Cormyrean sappers dig underneath walls of Arabel but are defeated in a battle with Giselin and dwarves.
June 7 - Wheat, Anolis, and Hilda Highborn go undercover and unmask Cormyrean agents in Arabel.
June 11 An Anubi army led by Primax and Grymaldus break the siege of the Keep on the Borderlands. Many Fire Giants are slaughtered.
June 12 An army of elves led by Lord Balar and Elessar break the siege of Thunder Keep. Both armies now converge on Arabel. Frost Giants are scattered.
June 14 A priest of Talos attempts to create a massive thunderstorm and call down lightning bolts on Arabel. Hawk and other druids resist. A sortie is made against the besiegers. Imelda uses Mount to return to the city gate.
June 18 - Prism Keep returns to Arabel, now under the control of Brighella. She reports the disposition of besieging forces to Arabel and that the Anubi and Elven relief armies are near.
June 21 The Battle of Arabel. The Banner of St. Cuthbert is raised above the citadel, inspiring the defenders. Elves and Anubi attack from the north, while Severian and Freiherr von Bek lead the attack from the city. Brighella monitors the battle from Prism Keep and sends information to Ashlar in Arabel using Boxes of Delightful Transport. The Cormyrean forces are routed, and King Azoun is captured. Vangerdahast is missing. Taz is killed in the fight with the War Wizards but his insurance policy pays for his being Raised.
June 22 Archcleric Kasimir flees from Hilp to Suzail.
June 25 Cormyrean forces are driven out of Arabellan territory.
July 2 Negotiators meeting in Selgaunt sign a treaty ending the war. King Azoun and his retinue are freed, along with their personal property. Hommlet, Nulb, and the Great Swamp become part of the Archclericy.
July 8 Archcleric Thecla elevates Hommlet to a Bishopric. Calmert is appointed as the new Bishop and Imelda is appointed as Mage of Hommlet. Canoness YDey is promoted to Archbishop.
July 12 Calmert and Imelda lead a force of soldiers, acolytes, and apprentice mages to occupy Hommlet.
July 22 Calmert and Imelda arrive in Hommlet. The Sembian mercenary commander transfers authority to them and withdraws.
July 23 The Temple of St. Cuthbert is cleansed of Iuzite influences (ghouls, zombies, and a Blazing Bones) and re-consecrated.
July 24 The Keep is re-occupied. Imelda Dispels the magical wards left by Burne.
July 25 Imelda inspects the loot abandoned by retreating Cormyrean forces. She discovers that the statues of Kearine, Teresa, Terelin, and Gundar were excavated from the ruins of the Temple. She requests that Stone to Flesh scrolls be sent from Arabel.
July 26 Calmert meets with Elmo and YDey. He learns that they fought as partisans against the Cormyreans, preventing them from completing their excavations at the Temple. Unfortunately, Otis and Murfles were killed.
August 14 - Imelda casts Stone to Flesh on the statues.
Gundar and Kearine are revivified, but Hershorn, Teresa and Terelin do
not survive. Calmert requests funds from Arabel to build a memorial
to those who died in the fight against the Temple.
