Mission Statement
We provide emotional support and financial assistance to patients and their
families who are struggling with catastrophic cancer and heart disease illnesses and complications.
How We Help
Most non-profit organizations in this field fund research for a cure, but
immediate patient needs are outside their charters. ROTL instead funds the purchase necessities such as food, diapers, prescriptions,
and so on. Financial assistance for housing, transportation, and utilities is available. Interim monies are provided for a
survivor applying for government benefits like those that have waiting periods or qualifications periods, such as Social Security,
Medicare, Medicaid. We also assist during unpaid medical leave from employment.
How Big is the Problem?
Heart disease and strokes are the number one killers of Americans today.
Texas ranks fourth in the number of cancer sufferers reported. The National Cancer Institute estimates that approximately
8.4 million Americans alive today have a history of cancer. About 1,220,100 new cancer cases are expected to be diagnosed
this year.
