Uniforms

A good-looking man or woman in uniform has no problem geting attention, especially when those uniforms are not the shapeless combat gear of today, but the well-cut garments of yesteryear, which accentuate shoulders, a narrow waist and other assets. We had the chance to see our explorers in uniform quite a few times. And we also had a villain in uniform, the evil Captain Askwith. We are quite sure that the authority with which he wore his fabulous uniform helped him to fool the usually alert Miss Krux. Let's take a look at the uniforms of The Lost World.

The color scheme of this uniform is not for everyone, but they carry it off with bravado

We are torn between pity for his sufferings and awe for his stylish look

Why do we like uniforms? While it's true that they are designed to cover a person's individuality, they are also often fetching in their simplicity and clear lines. A matching hat adds to the size of a person, rendering him or her taller and more impressive. Often the uniform is accompanied by stylish looking boots. It's not an everyday look, but it's a very welcome change to the regular, more casual Plateau style.

Yes, he's a villain, but we have to say that Captain Askwith is a striking figure in uniform

Visitors to the Fashion Plateau have requested that we also add those examples of uniforms to the site that were worn in alternate realities. We apologize for the oversight of omission and are happy to comply with the wishes of our esteemed visitors.
