We caught our first glimpse of Lord John Roxton at the Royal Zoological Society
in London. Clean-shaven, with long, carefully kempt longish hair, he was the epitome of a dapper British gentleman.
His long hair was tamed with gel and he always took care to get enough volume by
using a voluminizing spray when blowdrying his hair. The look was perfectly appropriate for a rugged adventurer, albeit a
bit hard to maintain on expeditions as he had to carry around gel, combs and brushes. (Note: at this early stage of their
relationship Miss Krux was unwilling to share her hairbrush with him. She has since revised her policy, as they have gotten
very close over the years)
It turned out pretty soon that while the look was asthetically pleasing, it was
not really well-suited to the life of constant struggle on the Plateau.
After they had fought against Osric and the Norse hordes, Marguerite and John had
a very serious conversation, in which Miss Krux spoke these immortal words:
Marguerite: "Face it, Roxton, floppy hair is ok for sipping Gin & Tonic in
your London club, on the Plateau it's just a fashion foible."

It took many months for Lord John Roxton to accept this harsh, but true assessment
of appropriate Plateau hairdo, but in the end he took action. His new post-river-haircut do looks fabulous. It is masculine,
fashionable and looks perfect even after a lengthy battle with Plateau villains. And since he doesn't have to use as much
gel anymore, we have seen an increasing amount of instances when Marguerite lovingly strokes the back of his head. Coincidence?
We think not... Hair DOES matter in a relationship.
