Native American Catholic Resources

Several years ago we began searching for multicultural Catholic resources for our children. We began with Black Catholic resources. We developed our Black Catholic Resource page to share the resources we found with others. Now we are beginning to search for Native American Catholic resources. Our special interest in Native American and Black Catholic resources stems from the cultural heritage of our family members.
Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament reach out among the Native American, African-American and Haitian peoples.
The National Shrine of Blessed Kateri in Fonda, NY is beautiful! We visited in late October of 1999. The Church is a rich blend of the Native American and Catholic cultures. There is also a museum and gift shop on the grounds. Less than 1 mile away from the Shrine is the excavation of a Mohawk village where Blessed Kateri lived as a young child.
