This weekly tournament, sponsored by GURC and run by Kosh K95x, is an opportunity for players to learn to deal with the Act 2 environment. The format remains relatively similar from week to week, with the lone exception of a small selection of banned cards which are selected by the participants in the tournament.

Format
  • Act 2
  • Banned cards (4/1/2004)
    1. Compound Interest
    2. Beat and Rusher
    3. Arell Cartel HQ
  • Minimum deck size: 40
  • Maximum duplicate cards: 4
  • Map: Europe
  • No special edition
  • Start time: 1900 ST
  • Sign up period: ends at start time, generally starts about a half hour before tournament start time
  • Time limit: 40 minutes per game
  • Tie breaker: Rocks Scissors Paper! Best of 3 :)
After you sign up, please whisper the top 3 cards you would like banned the next week. These votes are weighted, so carefully consider the order that you list the cards you want banned. You may vote for any card that the game allows under the Act 2 format, with the following exceptions:
  • You may not vote for the card which is currently the number 1 banned card.
  • You may not vote for any Promotional HQ.
If you are unable to receive game requests due to firewall issues, please let the tournament coordinator know at the time you sign up.

Games that hit the time limit or end in a draw will be determined by a best of 3 Rocks Scissors Paper between the two players. If your match lasts longer than the time limit, and neither player reports back within 5 minutes of that time limit, the tournament coordinator will have no choice but to declare a double disqualification. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places and for the winner of the BLT (which, of course, means there is indeed a BLT).
