VATUSA Western Region
SPOTLIGHT MINI-EVENT PROGRAM
VATUSA's Western Region ARTCC's are proud to bring featured "spotlight" mini-events to show off ATC services in our widely diversified areas. From the Alaskan bush, to the Hawaiian Islands, the painted deserts of the Southwest, the Rockies, the Grand Tetons, the Grand Canyon, the Pacific Northwest where IFR is a must, and the California Coast, VATUSA's Western Region has all kinds of weather, traffic, and terrain.
To help us showcase our airspace and our talent we have established the "Spotlight Program". Our western regional Wednesdays may be used by an ARTCC to feature an area or operation in their space. Other adjacent ARTCCs may be involved in supporting the area by providing departure services.
Pilots, of course, may fly anywhere they wish on a Spotlight Night, but we hope you will visit the Western Region, and make a flight in the Featured Area.
