Pastor's Message

Safeguarding the Children

The overwhelming majority of our clergy and lay leaders are hardworking individuals who are dedicated to serving the People of God in our parishes and schools. All of us together are responsible for making sure that all of our ministries are as safe as possible for our children and young people. That means each of us has a responsibility to educate ourselves about the real danger of sexual abuse. The Los Angeles Archdiocese has produced two excellent pamphlets, "Respecting the Boundaries: Keeping Ministerial Relationships Healthy and Holy," and "Working Together to Prevent Sexual Abuse." Both pamphlets are availbale online at www.la-archdiocese.org

Thursdays with the Padres

This is an adult evangelization session that is happening in our parish. Every Thursday (at 7pm in the Emmaus Room) Fr. Roberto, Fr. Anh-Tuan and Fr. Rick gives a bible study on the scripture reading for coming Sunday. This is an opportunity for us to grow in our relationship God through our reflection, dialogue, and encounter with His Word.  Open to all (adults, young adults, and teenagers).

Fellowship Sunday

Join the St. Joseph family for fellowship and nourishment following the Sunday masses by the driveway between the School and the Church. This event is sponsored by our different Parish Ministries. This is a great way to meet fellow parishioners, enjoy the variety of delicacies, and also help raise funds for the ministries and the parish.

Vocation Angel Program

We welcome families who are interested to receive the Vocation Angel (i.e. Angel Gabriel) into their homes for a week. The transfer of the Angel takes place at the end of Mass. The receiving family then uses the accompanying prayer card to pray a decade of the rosary reflecting on the mystery of the Annunciation.

They pray for their intentions, and most especially for more vocations to the priesthood and religious life in our Church through the intercession of our Blessed Virgin Mary.

If you would like to be included in the schedule to receive the Angel, please contact the coordinators: Ralph and Lupe Gonzales 909-865-5727 and Isabel & Miriam Reyes (909-861-2974) for the Spanish Masses. Also, please identify which Mass you attend.
