X-Men: Evolution

  • In the episode "Dark Horizons, Part 1," the Blob watches a cartoon very similar to PPG, but featuring more angular characters, presumably to avoid copyright issues with Cartoon Network. [Chevron, Retro]

  • The video for the SugaBabes' "Angels with Dirty Faces" is a retelling of "Nano of the North," with animated versions of the all-girl British trio replacing the Powerpuff Girls. [Stephen Cobert]
