30th Anniversary Blowout
September 25, 1999

Sign a no-smoking pledge for 30 days, beginning August 28th at the Wings, Wheels, and Whistles Celebration.

Pledge cards will be available in Greenfield at the Wings, Wheels and Whistles Celebration, or may be requested from the Iowa Department of Public Health, the Greenfield Chamber of Commerce, F.A.C.T.S, or by email.

Governor Tom Vilsack has signed proclamations designating September 25 a Tobacco Free Day for the citizens of the State of Iowa, and urging all Iowans to join the citizens of Greenfield in abstaining from the use of tobacco products for 30 days prior to the celebration.

All mayors anywhere are invited by Greenfield Mayor, Bob Guikema, to join Greenfield in signing similar proclamations for their communities, and to then participate in a special Mayors March section of the parade at the celebration on September 25. Mayors of fifteen cities and towns have proclaimed Tobacco Free Day!
