Below is a list of tunes
that we play for dances at the Renaissance Faire
and other places. They are arranged (for the most part) as they would
be played at the Faire
so tunes like the Boatman (new version) are NOT what you would find in the
English Dancing Master.
The tunes are in ABC format, which is the easiest way
to send sheet music across the internet.
ABC will put the weird stuff you see into sheet music
and will play the tunes for you. If you
don't already have ABC2win.exe you may click on the link
below and download it for free.
It is shareware so be aware. It is simple compared to alot of music programs out
there, but it works.
I personally use ABC2win with ABCplayer that turns ABC files into midi files.
