Breaking through the levels (100, 90, 80, and 72) is a testament to our newly acquired skills and is definitely cause for celebration.

My short-term goals were/are to break 100, 90, 80 and 72.

My longer term goal is to eventually be good enough to qualify for the Champions (Senior) Tour.

  • Nov. 2002 - My first 18 hole score (a 116). I didn't play 18 holes again until Februaury 2003.
  • April 2003 - I broke 100 (my 11th scorecard).
  • August 2003 - I broke 90 (my 21st scorecard).

Goals are fine to have but actually achieving those goals will more likely be the calm eventuality of proper instruction, proper practice, playing patience, being mentally trained and physically fit as opposed to just trying harder during a particular game.

Breaking 80, and Par will come too, as long as I'm healthy, I'm sure of it. I'm also sure that I can't force it.

I have compiled a draft of things that I did (pre, during, & post play), experiences and learnings I had to break 100.  I have also compiled a draft of things that I did (pre, during, & post play), things I changed, experiences and learnings I had to break 90. I will have to discuss how much to post and how much to keep for the book with friends.
