What a start, par on the first two holes. Then on hole #3 (a par 3) I get a 6. Is this a crazy game or what? I tried
to not let it bother me. I brought out the new Adams Redline Driver today for the first time on-course and had some trouble
keeping it in the fairway (which also cost me some lost ball strokes) due to not slowing my swing speed for this
regular flex shaft. Despite many hours of practice, my putting was a bit too firm and I missed a number of birdie
and par opportunities. Hey, I'm not complaining with a 99, I just thought after lots of practice and some new equipment, I
would have done a bit better. This time I broke my rule and counted the strokes after 9 holes. I told myself it
will be hard but I had to shoot a back nine 47 to break 100 and then forgot about it. Interesting since that's exactly what
I shot. Next time I'll try that and pick a number for the front and back. Better yet, I will map out a plan
for actually shooting the score I pick on each nine.
